Nobelium PCB Set

Price range: $29.00 through $99.00

This is a PCB set for building your own Nobelium preamp. This is not a beginner project, so if you’ve never built a pedal before, then this isn’t for you.

I’ve tried to make this as affordable and as easy to assemble as possible, but this is a high-voltage circuit and requires special care in assembly, testing, and use. Conspiracy to Commit Electronics is not responsible for any damage or injury caused by improper handling, assembly, or use of this circuit.

Nobelium is a low-noise, high-quality, studio-grade clean preamp and D.I. It has a nice wide frequency response to be perfect for bass or guitar, and includes a switchable HPF to cut down on unnecessary rumble.

Each PCB also includes two “12AX7-LEFT” PCBs for mounting the tube sockets and a D.I./XLR PCB for mounting the XLR jack, ground lift switch, and D.I. transformer. As of July 2024 I am adding the option to include a D.I. transformer for additional cost. This transformer is the Unagi E4305, the same transformer used in the Sushi Box FX Finally v2, Venus Z, and Grand Slampegg. A pre-drilled enclosure can be purchased from Tayda Electronics, instructions here

You can find the build document with the BOM, schematics, and enclosure drill guide can be found here.
