Vampire Slayer PCB Set

This is a PCB set for building your own Vampire Slayer buffer. This is not a beginner project, so if you’ve never built a pedal before, then this isn’t for you.

I’ve tried to make this as affordable and as easy to assemble as possible, but this is a high-voltage circuit and requires special care in assembly, testing, and use. Vampire Slayer is based on the Effectrode Glass A, which is a tube buffer. Vampire Slayer runs a single dual-triode tube, I recommend 12AT7 but anything from that family will work while providing different characteristics. As a buffer the design is intended to be largely transparent, but it does impart a certain je-ne-sais-quoi to the signal that can be just the right thing for your chain.

Each PCB also includes a “12AX7-LEFT” PCB for mounting the tube socket. A pre-drilled enclosure is available for an additional cost.
