King Nothing PCB Set

$18.00

This is a PCB set for building your own King Nothing overdrive. This is not a beginner project, so if you’ve never built a pedal before, then this isn’t for you.

I’ve tried to make this as affordable and as easy to assemble as possible, but this is a high-voltage circuit and requires special care in assembly, testing, and use. Conspiracy to Commit Electronics is not responsible for any damage or injury caused by improper handling, assembly, or use of this circuit.

King Nothing is based on the Kingsley Harlot, which is a tasty 12AX7 overdrive with a JFET boost up front to push it into a heavier drive. With three-way toggles for “mode” and “lows” you can dial in a wide range of tones. I will caveat that the circuit as designed doesn’t work great with bass, but could probably be modded to be more suitable if that’s something you’re itching for.

Each PCB also includes a “3PDT-TB” footswitch PCB and a “12AX7-LEFT” PCB for mounting the tube socket. A pre-drilled enclosure is available for an additional cost.

You can find the build document with the BOM, schematics, and enclosure drill guide here.
